Kulgam, January 24: The Municipal Council Kulgam organized a Swachhta Quiz Competition at the Town Hall, Kulgam, with over 100 students participating in the event. The competition aimed at raising awareness about cleanliness and sanitation among the youth of the region.
The event witnessed active participation, with students demonstrating their knowledge and enthusiasm towards cleanliness. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Zahid Sajad, along with other municipal officials including Gh Mohiuddin Bhat, Mohd Ayoub, and Mubarak Ahmad, were present at the event to encourage and motivate the participants.
During the event, CEO Zahid Sajad distributed medals to the winners as a token of recognition for their efforts. In his speech, he highlighted the significance of maintaining cleanliness, stating, “It is the responsibility of every citizen to ensure that their surroundings remain clean and hygienic. Only through collective efforts can we achieve a cleaner and healthier environment.”
The quiz competition not only served as an engaging educational platform for students to learn about sanitation practices but also instilled a sense of responsibility towards creating a cleaner and healthier Kulgam.
