Baramulla, Feb 7: While residents of Waripora Kunzar in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district have appreciated the police action against a mentally unsound man, Razak Lone, they are now demanding stringent legal action against those who allegedly persuaded and assisted him in constructing a structure resembling a holy place.

Locals have appealed to the police to identify and apprehend the individuals responsible for misleading Lone, asserting that he was not capable of making such decisions independently. They believe that certain individuals guided and manipulated him into building the structure, using his mental instability to further their agenda.

Speaking to the news agency Kashmir News Trust, Lone’s daughter confirmed that her father has lost his mental balance. She emphasized that the authorities must act against those who encouraged and supported him in constructing the replica of a holy place.

“My father is mentally unstable, which is evident from the fact that he frequently refers to my mother as his sister. However, the real culprits are those who took advantage of his condition and persuaded him to build the structure. They should be identified and arrested,” she stated.

Locals of the area have echoed similar concerns, urging law enforcement agencies to take strict action against those involved in the alleged conspiracy. They fear such incidents could create unnecessary tensions and mislead vulnerable individuals in the community. [KNT]
