Kulgam, March 8, 2025: International Women’s Day was observed today at District Hospital Kulgam under the supervision of Medical Superintendent A.G. Raina, with the theme “Accelerate Action.” The event focused on celebrating the progress made towards gender equality and women’s empowerment, while also emphasizing the need for continued efforts in these areas.
On this occasion, around 250 female patients were screened for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) and Cervical Cancer. Awareness sessions were conducted to educate women about preventive healthcare and early detection of diseases.
Speaking on the occasion, Medical Superintendent A.G. Raina highlighted the importance of women’s health and empowerment, stressing the need for accessible healthcare services and awareness programs.
The hospital administration and health professionals saluted the strength, resilience, and leadership of women, reaffirming their commitment to ensuring quality healthcare and support for women in the district.
