Budgam, March 13: The Department of Horticulture, Budgam, under The Banner of Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), organized a district-level Awareness cum Training Program at Town Hall, Beerwah. The initiative aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of farmers and horticulturists by promoting sustainable horticulture practices, improving productivity, and increasing farmers’ income through modern techniques and government support.
The event was graced by Chief Horticulture Officer Budgam, Shafeeqa Khalid, along with other senior officers from the department. A large number of farmers and scientists Exparts participated in the program, engaging in discussions on innovative farming techniques, advanced horticultural practices, and the latest government schemes designed to support the agricultural community.
Addressing the gathering, Shafeeqa Khalid emphasized the importance of adopting modern horticultural methods to boost productivity and ensure sustainability.
