Pattan, Mar 14: People held a Protest at Hanjivera Pattan against Education Department for not facilitating the Govt High School Hanjivera with safe structured building for the students. They claimed that the department had declared the building unsafe in 2008 and had assured to construct a new building which seems to be a dream only till date.

The parents of the school children claimed that the students enrolled in the high school are being taught at a primary school building and have many a times appealed the concerned authorities to construct a building for the high school.

They further appealed the authorities to fulfill the following genuine demands;

1. Construction of new building as the present building three roomed building was declared unsafe by the department vide order no:-CEO/Plg/Bla/30586 dated-04-02-2022 which is accommodating students from classes 6th to 8th, to avoid any harm/disaster .

2. ⁠A new construction of 10 roomed two storey building may kindly be constructed on war footed basis to avoid any loss of learning for the classes 1st primary to 10 standard .

3. Post of headmaster should be filled at an earliest that is lying vacant from past one year which hampers the smooth functioning of the institution and encourages a lobbyism among the teaching fraternity that is dangerous for the quality teaching learning process.

4. ⁠Transfer of longest serving teaching staff to enhance the quality of education to enable new teachers with fresh methodology to contribute the overall academics of the institution and the students of this drown trodden section of the society.
