Kulgam, March 17: Dr. Shauket Hussain Parray, the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Kulgam district, accompanied by the District Health Officer (DHO) of Kulgam, visited the remote areas of the DH Pora Constituency today to review the state of health services in these far-flung regions. The visit aimed to assess the availability and accessibility of healthcare facilities and identify areas requiring attention.

During his visit, Dr. Parray engaged with local residents and healthcare workers, emphasizing the district administration’s commitment to providing comprehensive medical services to all citizens, regardless of their geographical location. “We are here for the people of Kulgam district, and our primary objective is to ensure that every citizen, no matter how remote, has access to quality health facilities,” he said while addressing the gathering.

The visit also focused on identifying gaps in healthcare delivery and exploring ways to improve infrastructure and medical services in the constituency. Dr. Parray highlighted the importance of strengthening the healthcare system in these underserved areas to ensure timely and efficient medical assistance.

In addition, Dr. Parray inspected the newly constructed health building in DH Pora, which is expected to enhance healthcare accessibility for the local population. He assured the residents that efforts would be made to overcome any challenges they face in accessing healthcare, and that further improvements would be made to ensure their well-being.

The visit marks another step towards the district’s goal of strengthening healthcare services and providing equitable medical support across Kulgam.
