Srinagar, Mar 17: An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday.
A top Police official told news agency JKNS that on specific inputs about the terrorists hiding in Krumbhoora, Zachaldara Rajwar in Kupwara district, a search operation was launched by a joint team of forces.
He said that during search operation hiding terrorists fired upon security forces which was retaliated triggering an encounter.
Two to three terrorists are believed to be trapped in the incident. Further details awaited. (JKNS)
