Kathua, Mar 23: Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police, Nalin Prabhat, on Sunday reached Sanyal, Hiranagar in Kathua district to personally monitor the ongoing anti-terrorist operation.

A top official told news agency JKNS that Jammu and Kashmir Police Chief, DGP Nalin Prabhat, has reached the encounter site to personally monitor and oversee the anti-terrorist operation.

Earlier, a 7-year-old girl from Bihar sustained minor injuries during the gunfight and is currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital.

Sources further said that 4-5 heavily armed terrorists are believed to be trapped inside the cordon, and the operation is ongoing.

Security forces have tightened the cordon around the area, and senior officials continue to assess the ground situation. Further details are awaited. (JKNS)
