Kulgam, Mar 27: The relocation of Yaripora’s main market dumping yard site to Tengjan Yaripora is nearing completion, with 80% of the work already done to ensure a cleaner environment. Meanwhile, authorities have finalized all arrangements for the smooth observance of Shab-e-Qadr and Jumat-ul-Vida in the area

.Speaking to news agency JKNS, Ganie said, “All arrangements are in place as far as Shab-e-Qadr and Jumat-ul-Vida are concerned. Market checking is being conducted in coordination with the concerned departments, and cleanliness drives are also underway.”

He added that special attention is being given to sanitation, ensuring that roads and marketplaces remain clean ahead of the religious occasions. Authorities are also monitoring essential supplies to prevent any inconvenience to the public.

The relocation of the dumping yard site for Yaripora’s main market to Tengjan Yaripora is nearing completion, with approximately 80% of the work already done. The new site is expected to be operational soon, which will help maintain a cleaner and more hygienic environment in the main market area.

Meanwhile, the Municipal Committee Yaripora, in collaboration with the Pollution Control Board, recently conducted a market-checking drive, seizing 4 kg of polythene and imposing fines on violators. This initiative aims to reduce plastic waste and promote environmental sustainability in the region. (JKNS)
