Budgam, May 5: Dr. Shafi Ahmad Wani, Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Beerwah Constituency, inaugurated a range of advanced medical and dental diagnostic equipment today at the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Beerwah and the healthcare facility in PHC Aripathan. The newly installed equipment is expected to significantly boost diagnostic and laboratory services, ensuring better healthcare access for hundreds of residents.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Budgam, Dr. Gulzar Ahmad, along with hospital staff and local officials. In his address, Dr. Wani reaffirmed his commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure across the constituency and assured that all incomplete development projects would be completed without delay.
Later in the day, Dr. Wani chaired a review meeting on the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) at Townhall Beerwah. The meeting focused on assessing the implementation of ICDS schemes, addressing the concerns of Anganwadi workers, and identifying strategies to strengthen child nutrition and maternal welfare programs in the region.
Dr. Wani emphasized the importance of efficient service delivery and pledged ongoing support for child and maternal health initiatives throughout the constituency, including in Aripathan.
