Sources told news agency Kashmir News Observer, that Azad, who has also served as leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha, would be part of the delegation headed by BJP MP Baijayant Panda.

The group led by Baijayant Panda is likely to visit United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Germany and Itlay. The delegation would also meet with representatives of European Union.

Other members of the delegation include Asaduddin Owaisi (MIM), Nishikant Dubey (BJP), Phangnon Konyak (BJP), Rekha Sharma (BJP), Satnam Singh Sandhu (nominated Rajya Sabha MP) and Ashok Singla (former foreign secretary).

As part of its diplomatic initiative under Operation Sindoor, the Government of India is sending seven cross-party delegations to key partner nations, including members of the UN Security Council, to strengthen its stance against cross-border terrorism.

These delegations would be headed by Shashi Tharoor (Congress), Ravi Shankar Prasad (BJP), Sanjay Kumar Jha (JDU), Baijayant Panda (BJP), Kanimozhi Karunanidhi (DMK), Supriya Sule (NCP), and Shrikant Eknath Shinde (Shiv Sena)—(KNO)
