Srinagar, May 23: Shopkeepers, School children and other passers-by protested against the JCC Company on the Srinagar-Baramulla National Highway in Singhpora.
The protesters claimed that the dust generated by the construction work being carried out by the JCC Company on the Srinagar-Baramulla National Highway has made it impossible for the passers-by to walk and commute.
The protesters said that if the company has to construct the road, then during this time they must use water spray to avoid the dust arise so that the passers-bye do not have to worry.
People are suffering from various diseases due to the dust generated here. They alleged that the government and the company are not taking care of the lives of the people.
Meanwhile, when Tehsildar Singhpora was asked about this, he assured that he would take up the matter with the concerned and resolve the issue.
