Srinagar, May 26: A woman died after suffering a severe electric shock while washing clothes using an electric boiler at her residence in Pamposh Colony, Palpora Noorbagh area of Srinagar on Monday.
An offical told the news agency JKNS that the woman, identified as Fazi Banoo, wife of Abdul Ahad Kumar, resident of Pamposh Colony, was doing laundry when she accidentally came in contact with an electric boiler. The contact resulted in an electric shock followed by burn injuries.
She was immediately rushed to SMHS Hospital Srinagar in critical condition. Despite efforts by the medical team, she succumbed to her injuries, he said.
Cognizance of the incident has been taken further investigation started. (JKNS)
