Kupwara, June 11 : In a remarkable display of unity and commitment to child rights, ASSET Kupwara, in collaboration with the Chief Education Office (CEO) Kupwara, Child Welfare Committee Kupwara, and ZEO Dragmullah, organized a meaningful event on World Child Labour Day at Town Hall Kupwara.

The programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of officials from the Child Welfare Committee, ZEO Office Dragmullah, and the administration of ASSET Kupwara. Among the dignitaries present were DySP Gulzar Ahmad, who also serves as the Child Rights Nodal Officer, Chairman ASSET Kupwara Ghulam Hassan Masoodi, faculty members, and a large number of students.

The event began on a spiritual note with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Muqadas Farooq, a student of ASSET Kupwara, followed by a soul-stirring Naat-e-Rasool (SAW) presented by Momin Manzoor.

During the course of the event, Zonal Resource Person from ZEO Office Dragmullah lauded the tireless efforts of ASSET Kupwara in organizing such an impactful programme in a short span of time. He expressed appreciation for the school’s dedication to raising awareness about the pressing issue of child labour and congratulated the students, teachers, and administration for their commitment and smooth execution of the event.

One of the highlights of the day was the Oath Ceremony, wherein all attendees—including dignitaries, students, teachers, and administrative staff—took a solemn pledge to stand against child labour and work collectively towards a child-friendly society.

The programme reflected the deep-rooted concern and proactive stance of educational institutions and local administration in Kupwara against child exploitation, and reiterated their collective commitment to safeguarding child rights.
