Kulgam, June 15: Kendriya Vidyalaya Aminoo, Kulgam, hosted an engaging and informative counselling session on Adolescence and Career Guidance for its students on Monday, 16th June 2025. The event aimed to support students in understanding the complex changes of adolescence and to help them make informed decisions about their future careers.

The session featured Ms. Rozy Lateef, a seasoned counsellor, who addressed the emotional, physical, and psychological challenges that adolescents face. She encouraged students to embrace these changes as part of their development and emphasized the value of mental health, self-awareness, and open dialogue with peers and elders.

In the second part of the programme, Mr. Vikas Kumar, a dedicated faculty member of KV Aminoo, led a comprehensive session on career planning. He guided students on recognizing their strengths and interests, outlined various academic pathways, and spoke about emerging career opportunities. He urged students to make decisions driven by personal passion rather than external expectations.

Students actively participated in the interactive session, raising thoughtful questions and engaging in meaningful discussions. The practical guidance and relatable examples made the session particularly effective.

School Principal Mr. Kapil Singh applauded the initiative, praising the speakers for their valuable inputs. He emphasized the importance of such programmes in helping students make confident life choices and adapt to personal challenges with resilience.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks and left students feeling more aware, motivated, and better equipped to face adolescence and future academic decisions.
