Anantnag, June 19: The 40th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organized a free medical camp on Thursday in the Palpora village of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Around 200 persons, including women and children, were examined by a team of doctors and provided with free medicines.
The medical team consisted of two to three doctors who attended to the patients throughout the day.
“We are here to help the locals as much as possible. We hope to continue organizing such camps in the future. Serving the people is our priority,” a CRPF official said.
A CRPF spokesperson said that the initiative is aimed at supporting the general public—especially those from economically weaker sections—by providing them with accessible healthcare and essential facilities.
The official further added that the purpose of this initiative is to strengthen the bond between the CRPF personnel and the people (Awam and Jawan).
