LG Manoj Sinha Visits Special National Integration Camp at Badami Bagh Cantonment, Srinagar

Srinagar, 27 June 2025: Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, paid a visit to the Special National Integration Camp (SNIC) 2025 held at Badami Bagh Cantonment, Srinagar. The prestigious camp, organized by the Jammu and Kashmir & Ladakh (JK&L) NCC Directorate under the leadership of ADG Maj Gen Anupinder Bevli, VSM, brought together 340 NCC cadets and Associate NCC Officers (ANOs) from across the country. The primary aim of the camp is to promote national integration, cultural unity, discipline, and leadership qualities among youth.

The Lieutenant Governor was warmly received and accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour by the cadets. The event also featured a vibrant cultural programme celebrating India’s rich heritage and diversity.

The occasion was marked by the presence of prominent dignitaries, including Shri Shantmanu, Financial Commissioner Higher Education; Shri Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir; Shri Sarmad Hafeez, Secretary Youth Services & Sports; Shri Akshay Labroo, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar; Mrs. Ritu Mahajan, Additional Secretary School Education; Padma Shri awardee Shri Farooq Ahmad Mir; and senior Army officers including Lt Gen Prashant Srivastava, AVSM, SM, GOC Chinar Corps and Maj Gen Saurabh Sharma, SM, COS Chinar Corps.

Addressing the gathering, LG Sinha applauded the NCC’s vital role in nation-building and praised the cadets for their exemplary spirit, discipline, and enthusiasm. “The strength of India lies in its unity in diversity, and it is truly heartening to witness this unity on full display at SNIC Srinagar,” he said.

He also congratulated JUO Abida Afreen and Cadet Mohit Knathia of the JK&L Directorate for successfully scaling Mt. Everest in May 2025. SCC Ekta Kumari was lauded for leading the NCC Girls Contingent on Kartavya Path during the 2025 Republic Day Parade. The Lieutenant Governor further appreciated the NCC cadets’ humanitarian contributions during Operation Sindhoor.

Encouraging the cadets to uphold the core values of discipline, service, and unity, LG Sinha emphasized their potential to become agents of social change and ambassadors of a united India.

His visit was a morale booster for the cadets and reaffirmed the pivotal role of youth in shaping the nation’s future.
