Pattan, July 5, 2025 – On the solemn occasion of the 9th of Muharram, the youth of Kanloo Pattan, in collaboration with Police Station Pattan, organized a spiritual and humanitarian initiative—Sabeel-e-Hussain (A.S.)—at Zagam Pattan in District Baramulla. The event paid tribute to the eternal sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) and his companions, who stood for justice, truth, and dignity in the plains of Karbala.
As part of the sabeel, volunteers distributed water, juice, and traditional refreshments such as sherbet to mourners, travelers, and passersby. The effort was a heartfelt act of service inspired by the values of compassion and selflessness that are deeply rooted in the teachings of Imam Hussain (A.S.).
The initiative saw enthusiastic participation from hundreds of youth who gathered in black attire, symbolizing mourning and respect for the tragedy of Karbala. With coordination and discipline, they set up refreshment stalls in key areas of Zagam Pattan, ensuring the distribution process was smooth and orderly.
The event was held under the close cooperation and guidance of the local police administration. Senior police officials, including SDPO Pattan and SHO Pattan, attended the program and joined the youth in serving refreshments. Their presence and encouragement were warmly welcomed by the community, adding to the spirit of unity and harmony.
