Srinagar, July 11:Janata Dal United (JDU) Jammu and Kashmir President, Shri G.M. Shaheen, held a significant meeting today with the Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Atal Dulloo, to deliberate on various developmental and public welfare issues affecting the Union Territory.

During the meeting, Shri Shaheen strongly advocated for the resolution of the long-pending demands of daily wagers, urging the administration to expedite the process of their regularization and the clearance of their pending dues. He emphasized that these workers form the backbone of various essential services and deserve timely justice.

Responding to the concerns, Chief Secretary Shri Atal Dulloo assured that the matter is under active consideration and that the administration is committed to finding a solution at the earliest.

Shri Shaheen also reviewed the progress of several upcoming infrastructure and welfare projects in the region. He pressed for their swift implementation to ensure tangible benefits reach the common people without delay.

In addition, he raised the issue of high power tariffs and requested the Chief Secretary to explore measures for reducing the burden on economically weaker sections of society, especially amid rising costs of living.

The meeting reflected JDU’s continued engagement with key policy issues and its commitment to representing the voice of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
