Poonch, Sept 1: The Indian Army on Monday morning detected and challenged suspicious movement along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Balakote sector of Poonch district, leading to a heavy exchange of fire.
Official Sources told news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, alert troops of Army noticed suspected infiltrators near the Zero Line in the Dabbi area ahead of the fence and immediately opened fire.
The suspected group retaliated, triggering an intense exchange of fire, they said.
The operation is continuing in the forward area, while additional reinforcements have been rushed to prevent any infiltration attempt, sources said.
