Srinagar, Aug 3: One more Army personnel was injured on Sunday as the encounter between security forces and terrorists entered its third day in the Akhal forest area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Official sources told news agency Kashmir News Corner – KNC that intermittent firing exchanges are taking place as the joint operation by Army, Police, and CRPF continues. “ One more soldier was injured and has been evacuated to a medical facility, and his condition is stable,” sources said adding that earlier, One soldier was injured during the operation.
Encounter, which began on Friday evening following inputs about the presence of terrorists, has so far led to the killing of Two terrorists.
The operation is ongoing, with security forces maintaining a tight cordon in the dense forest area with re-inforcement has been rushed. (KNC)
