Kulgam, Aug 6: Two people were killed and two others injured in an incident at Kanzalpathri Dokh, Waltengo Nard, in the Kund area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday.
Officials told news agency Kashmir News Corner (KNC) that heavy rain, gusty winds, and lightning caused forest trees to fall on a nomadic tent, leading to the on-spot death of Mohammad Shafi Bokad and a woman identified as Rehana.
Two others sustained injuries and were shifted for medical treatment.
Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, along with the ADC and SDRF team, rushed to the spot to supervise rescue and relief operations. (KNC)
