Srinagar, Aug 8: On the second day of Majlis-e-Asad at the historic Imam Bargah in Zadibal, thousands of mourners from across Kashmir gathered to honor the supreme sacrifice of Imam Hussain (AS) and his loyal companions. The day began solemnly at 7:00 AM with the continuous recitation of Marsiya-e-Imam Hussain (AS), as the air filled with remembrance, devotion, and heartfelt sorrow.
At 3:00 PM, Molvi Imran Reza Ansari, President of the All J&K Shia Association, delivered a moving Majlis-e-Aza, centering his message on the essential role of knowledge in shaping the future of today’s youth. Drawing inspiration from the life of Imam Ali (AS)—Bab-ul-Ilm (The Gate of Knowledge)—Molvi Imran emphasized that true power lies in wisdom, moral courage, and understanding.
He also highlighted the profound legacy of Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (AS), whose contributions to science, jurisprudence, and philosophy continue to enlighten scholars around the world.
Following the Majlis, the deeply emotional and symbolic Zuljanah Sharief procession took place, beginning at the residence of the late Syed Nazir and culminating at Imam Bargah Zadibal. The sight of the procession moved many to tears, as mourners recalled the martyrdom of the innocent in Karbala.
In his concluding remarks, Molvi Imran extended heartfelt gratitude to the people of Zadibal and neighboring areas for their hospitality and unwavering support. He reminded the mourners of the spiritual rewards promised to those who serve and grieve for Imam Hussain (AS), quoting “The one who weeps for me or makes others weep for me will be with me in Paradise.”
Special thanks were offered to the selfless male and female volunteers whose efforts ensured the smooth conduct of events, as well as to those serving Niyaz from Sultan Mohallah, Mohallah Syed Afzal, Hardapanzoo, and JK Peoples Development Trust, which also organized a medical camp for the well-being of mourners.
Molvi Imran also acknowledged the seamless coordination and support from various government departments and officials, including:

The day concluded with collective prayers for all attendees, as Molvi Imran reminded the gathering of the timeless mission of Imam Hussain (AS)
“Indeed, I did not rise except to seek reform in the nation of my grandfather.”
He urged everyone to embody the values of truth, justice, compassion, and service, transforming their actions into a living tribute to the eternal message of Karbala.
