Pattan, August 11: In a spectacular display of national pride and unity, a Mega Tiranga Rally was today organised at Pattan under the able supervision of Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Pattan, with active support from SDPO Pattan, SHO Pattan, and in the presence of Tehsildar Pattan, drawing the participation of over one thousand enthusiastic students from various educational institutions. The rally, held in the spirit of the ongoing Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, transformed the town into a sea of saffron, white, and green.
The event commenced in the early hours, with students, teachers, and local citizens assembling in large numbers, proudly carrying the Tricolour. The streets of Pattan resonated with powerful slogans — “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”, “Vande Mataram”, and “Jai Hind” — while patriotic songs filled the air, evoking deep emotions and reminding all of the sacrifices made by India’s brave freedom fighters.
Addressing the gathering, SDM Pattan expressed immense pride over the enthusiastic participation, commending the students for their discipline and zeal. “The Tiranga is more than just our National Flag — it is the very embodiment of India’s honour, unity, and sovereignty. Every citizen, especially our youth, must protect its dignity and contribute to our nation’s progress,” he stated.
SDPO Pattan, in his remarks, lauded the discipline maintained by the young participants and stressed the importance of national integration. “Such events strengthen our unity and remind us that we are one people under one flag,” he said, appreciating the seamless coordination between civil administration and police.
SHO Pattan also spoke on the occasion, praising the efforts of the students, teachers, and organisers in making the rally a grand success. He highlighted the role of the police in ensuring smooth conduct and security throughout the march, reiterating that safeguarding peace and unity is a shared responsibility.
Tehsildar Pattan appreciated the overwhelming spirit of patriotism on display, commending the efforts of the students and local citizens. He emphasised that the Tiranga is a symbol of unity for all Indians, irrespective of region, language, or religion, and called upon everyone to participate wholeheartedly in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
The rally proceeded through the main roads of Pattan in perfect order, with students marching in neat formations, waving the National Flag high and chanting slogans that stirred patriotic fervour. The visual of a thousand Tirangas fluttering proudly in the breeze left an unforgettable impression on the spectators.
Local organisations and community leaders actively supported the event, while the Pattan Police and other officials ensured safety and discipline along the route.
At the concluding venue, the National Anthem was sung in unison, followed by cultural performances from students — including skits, speeches, and songs — celebrating India’s glorious history and rich cultural diversity.
This Mega Tiranga Rally stood as a testament to the unity, discipline, and patriotism of Pattan’s people. It sent a clear message — India’s greatest strength lies in its unity, and the Tiranga is the living symbol that binds the nation together. With the guidance of SDM Pattan, the dedicated efforts of SDPO Pattan, SHO Pattan, and the gracious presence of Tehsildar Pattan, along with the spirited participation of over a thousand students, the rally etched a proud chapter in the patriotic history of Pattan.
