Srinagar, Sep 3: Secretary Health and Medical Education, Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, on Wednesday said that the administration is fully geared to ensure uninterrupted medical services amid the rising water levels in Kashmir.

Speaking to media persons in Srinagar, Abid as per news agency JKNS said, “We were in Jammu as heavy rains were continuing there, but reports came from Kashmir, and now we are here. The water level is increasing everywhere.”

He added that hospitals from primary to tertiary level are functional and operational, with doctors and concerned staff asked to remain on high alert. “We are visiting hospitals to review essential medical emergency preparedness.

Efforts are being made to arrange any lacking medicines and essentials. Health camps have been started in the affected areas of Jammu, and door-to-door medical care is being provided to people in vulnerable villages,” Secretary Aabid said. (JKNS)
