Srinagar, Sep 3: Minister Sakina Itoo on Wednesday said that National Medical Commission (NMC) has approved 190 additional MBBS seats in J&K Medical Colleges.

In a post on X, minister Sakina as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, National Medical Commission (NMC) has granted a Letter of Permission for 190 additional MBBS seats across five medical colleges of Jammu and Kashmir for the academic session 2025–26.

Minister Sakina credited the achievement to the intervention and support of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.

She said the step will go a long way in strengthening medical education and healthcare facilities in the Union Territory. (KNC)
