Keran : 24 September : A comprehensive and successful Mega Health Camp was organized today at the Actual Line of Control (LoC) in Keran Village, District Kupwara, as part of the ongoing Swastha Nari, Sashkhat Parivar Abiyan campaign. The camp, a significant initiative of the Health Department, was inaugurated by Hon’ble MLA Trehgam, Shri Mir Saifullah Ji, in the esteemed presence of Dr. Masarat Iqbal Wani, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), District Kupwara; DDC Member Adv. Amina Ji; Deputy CMO Kupwara; Tehsildar Keran; CEO Kupwara; BMO Kralpora; BMO Trehgam; Medical Superintendent of Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Kupwara; District Programme Management Unit (DPMU) NHM Kupwara; consultant doctors; government officials from the Keran sector; as well as dedicated field staff, doctors, paramedics, ASHAs, and Anganwadi Workers (AWWs).
The health camp, organized with the aim of improving healthcare access in the remote and border areas of the district, witnessed the provision of a wide range of specialized medical services. The camp offered expert consultations and diagnostic services across all medical streams, with doctors and specialists attending to the health needs of the local population. The event was met with great enthusiasm and appreciation by the people of the area, who lauded the efforts of the Health Department and expressed their gratitude for the much-needed healthcare services provided to them in this remote and challenging terrain.
Hon’ble MLA Trehgam, Shri Mir Saifullah Ji, during his address, lauded the Health Department for organizing such a comprehensive camp in one of the remotest parts of the district, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives for the well-being of the community.
