The event was met with great enthusiasm and appreciation by the people of the area, who lauded the efforts of the Health Department and expressed their gratitude for the much-needed healthcare services provided to them in this remote and challenging terrain.
Hon’ble MLA Trehgam, Shri Mir Saifullah Ji, during his address, lauded the Health Department for organizing such a comprehensive camp in one of the remotest parts of the district, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives for the well-being of the community. He urged the residents of the region to take full advantage of the healthcare services being made available and encouraged them to come forward in large numbers for future health camps. Shri Saifullah assured the people of his unwavering support for healthcare initiatives in the region and recognized the relentless efforts of the medical staff who worked tirelessly to ensure the success of the camp.
Dr. Masarat Iqbal Wani, CMO Kupwara, expressed immense satisfaction with the success of the camp, stating that such specialized health camps would be regularly organized in these underserved areas to ensure the availability of quality healthcare for all. Dr. Wani also assured the public that the Health Department had made arrangements to stock up on essential medicines in large quantities before the onset of winter, ensuring that the community would not face shortages during the cold months. Despite the challenges posed by a shortage of staff, Dr. Wani confirmed that the department had ensured that all necessary medical personnel, including doctors and paramedics, were present and available at the camp.
Further expressing his gratitude, Dr. Wani thanked Hon’ble MLA Trehgam Shri Mir Saifullah Ji for his support and presence at the event, despite his busy schedule. He also acknowledged the efforts of all the doctors, paramedics, field staff, and organizers for their role in making the camp a resounding success.
Key Highlights of the Camp:

•Essential medicines were distributed to those requiring long-term care or ongoing treatment, ensuring the residents would not face any gaps in their healthcare needs.
The people of Keran Village and the surrounding areas were deeply appreciative of the health camp, and many expressed their hopes for continued efforts by the Health Department in improving healthcare infrastructure in this remote region.
In conclusion, the Mega Health Camp at Keran Village was a huge success, demonstrating the commitment of the Jammu and Kashmir Health Department towards improving access to healthcare in remote areas.
