Budgam, September 27: A Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting was today held at Chelan Tsunt Nard area under the jurisdiction of Police Station Charar-e-Sharief. The meeting was chaired by SSP Budgam Shri Nikhil Borkar (IPS) and was attended by ASP Budgam, DySP PC Chadoora, SHO PS Charar-e-Sharief, and other police officers. Respectable citizens of the area, including traders, elders, and youth, also participated in the interactive session.
During the meeting, participants raised several issues concerning public safety, community welfare, and local concerns. SSP Budgam gave a patient hearing to the grievances and assured that genuine issues would be addressed in a time-bound manner. He emphasized the need for stronger cooperation between the community and police in curbing crime and maintaining peace.
On the sidelines of the meeting, SSP Budgam also visited Government Middle School Bradipathri. As part of the Civil Action Programme, he distributed sports kits among students to encourage youth participation in extracurricular activities and promote a healthy lifestyle.
The participants appreciated the efforts of police in reaching out to remote areas and strengthening the bond between the force and the community.
