Poonch, Nov 22: An Agniveer of the Army died after sustaining a bullet injury in Mendhar Sector of Poonch district, officials said on Saturday
They identified the deceased has been identified as Agniveer Deepak Singh. The incident took place within the jurisdiction of Police Station Mendhar, they told GNS.
They said that police was investigating the circumstances that led to the fatal injury and are examining whether it was a case of suicide or an accidental discharge of a service weapon.
“A detailed inquiry has been initiated, and further information will be shared once the investigation progresses,” they said. More details are awaited. (GNS)
