Srinagar, Nov 28: A 65-year-old man died after being hit by a truck in Satpakhren, Khrew Pampore area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district, this evening, officials said.

They told news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC that the accident occurred when a truck bearing registration number JK05C-0676, struck a pedestrian on the roadside.

The pedestrian, identified as Ghulam Mohammad Mir, a resident of Ismail Colony Satpakhren, sustained critical injuries in the incident, they said.

He was immediately shifted to PHC Khrew, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and further investigation is underway. (KNC)
