Awantipora Dec 23; Awantipora Police along with Army 50 RR and CRPF 185 Bn during CASO at Wuyan Khrew , arrested one terrorist associate identified as Javid Ahmad Hajam S/O Abdul Rashid Hajam R/O Gulab Bagh Tral and recovered arms and ammunition from his possession.
During search, arms and ammunition including 01 Pistol, 05 live rounds of pistol recovered.
It is pertinent to mention here that, the arrested terrorist associate is involved in providing logistics support and transportation of arms & ammunition to the terrorists in Pampore, Tral and Awantipora areas of Police District Awantipora.
Accordingly a Case under relevant sections of law have been registered in and investigation has been initiated.
