The cricketer has been identified as Furqan Ul Haq, son of Tajamul Hussain Bhat, a resident of Tangipuna in Pulwama district.

Considering the sensitivity of the issue and its potential public order implications, the enquiry has been initiated under Section 173(3) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita at Police Station Domana.

Police said the enquiry will verify the facts of the incident, assess the intent behind the act, examine the background of the individual, and look into any possible linkages.
