Kulgam, Jan 8:A 19-year-old cricket prodigy, Syed Muntazir of the K.B. Pora area in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, brought immense pride to the nation after delivering a stellar performance in the International Tennis Ball Cricket Series held in Nepal, where India clinched the gold medal.
Hailing from a humble background, Syed Muntazir represented India on the international stage and emerged as one of the standout performers of the tournament. The triangular series featured teams from India, Bangladesh, and host nation Nepal, witnessing keen competition throughout.
Muntazir played a decisive role in India’s title triumph with his match-winning bowling performances, particularly against the host nation Nepal. His disciplined and lethal bowling spells rattled the Nepalese batting lineup, proving crucial in securing victories that ultimately paved the way for India’s gold medal finish.
For his exceptional performances, Syed Muntazir was adjudged Man of the Match during the series and was also named Best Player of the Final, further highlighting his dominance and impact in the tournament.
