In an update, Kashmir Weather said that despite Saudi Arabia not confirming moon sighting on Friday, many countries in the Middle East and South Asia could still celebrate Eid-ul-Adha together this year.

“Astronomical conditions suggest the moon could remain visible for nearly one hour after sunset,” Kashmir Weather said.

It said weather conditions are also likely to support moon sighting across most parts of India and Pakistan.

“Meteorological conditions also favour clear sky conditions across most parts of India and Pakistan today,” it said.

According to the forecast, Eid-ul-Adha is likely to be observed on Wednesday, May 27.(KNS).
