Bandipora, June 25: In preparation for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra, Bandipora Police, in coordination with CRPF and SSB personnel, conducted a comprehensive joint mock drill at Shadipora Camp to assess and strengthen security preparedness.
The exercise aimed to enhance inter-agency coordination, test response mechanisms, and ensure the seamless implementation of security arrangements ahead of the annual pilgrimage. Various simulated scenarios were carried out during the drill to evaluate the readiness of security forces in handling potential challenges during the Yatra.
The mock exercise focused on rapid response operations, area domination, convoy security, emergency evacuation procedures, and coordinated action among the participating forces. Personnel from all agencies displayed a high level of preparedness and professionalism while responding to the simulated situations.
Senior officers from Bandipora Police, CRPF and SSB closely monitored the exercise and highlighted the importance of continuous preparedness, vigilance, and coordination among security agencies to ensure a safe and peaceful pilgrimage.
The joint drill forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the security framework and maintain a robust security grid for the smooth conduct of the Amarnath Yatra. Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring the safety and security of pilgrims as well as the general public throughout the Yatra period.
