Poonch, July 17, 2026: As part of the ongoing “My Youth My Pride” initiative, special summer activities were organised under the guidance of the Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council at Sports Stadium Poonch, aimed at engaging youth through sports in border and remote areas.
More than 70 young athletes, comprising both boys and girls, participated in a Taekwondo event, supported by 4 officials. The event drew a crowd of over 500 spectators from the local community.
The programme was conducted under the overall guidance of the Secretary, Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council, and district sports officials, reflecting the Council’s continued focus on extending sports development to grassroots and border communities. Refreshments were provided to all participating players.
The event was coordinated by the sports stadium management team along with mentors representing hockey, boxing, football, volleyball and badminton disciplines.
