Handwara Jul 20: During a surprise inspection at PHE Division Handwara several employees were found absent from duty.
Taking serious note of the matter, Hon’ble MLA Langate has announced that he will sit on a dharna inside the Executive Engineer, PHE Office, Handwara to protest against the negligence and to ensure accountability.
The MLA expressed concern over the absence of staff during working hours and said that such negligence directly affects public services, especially the drinking water supply to the people.
He reiterated his commitment that no laxity in public service will be tolerated and demanded immediate action against the absent employees.
Locals have welcomed the MLA’s stand and said such steps are needed to make government offices accountable and responsive to public needs.
