Srinagar , July 22: Cyber Police J&K on Wednesday cautioned media organizations and the general public against circulating photographs and videos related to the terror incident in Anantnag.
In a handout to GNS, the police said it has been observed that certain media organizations and members of the public are sharing content related to the attack on various platforms.
“Cyber Police J&K cautions all media organizations and the general public to refrain from sharing, publishing, forwarding, or circulating such content on any platform,” the statement said.
Police said dissemination of such material may hamper ongoing investigations and compromise public security.
“Strict action shall be taken against violators under the relevant provisions of law,” it added. (GNS)
