Kargil Vijay Diwas Celebration Fills Keran with Pride, Patriotism, and Unity

Kupwara July 26 : In a deeply moving tribute to the brave heroes of the Kargil War, the Indian Army organized a grand celebration of Kargil Vijay Diwas at the iconic Rooh-e-Hind in Keran. The event stood as a powerful symbol of patriotism, sacrifice, courage, and national unity, leaving an unforgettable impression on everyone who gathered to honour the nation’s fallen heroes.
The celebration was far more than a ceremonial observance it was an emotional expression of gratitude to the soldiers who laid down their lives to safeguard India’s sovereignty. Surrounded by the majestic mountains of Keran, the atmosphere echoed with patriotic fervour as soldiers, veterans, students, civil dignitaries, and local residents came together in one voice to salute the spirit of the Indian Armed Forces.
One of the most touching moments of the event was the soulful performance by local school children, who presented inspiring patriotic songs. Their heartfelt voices filled the valley with emotion, reminding everyone that the legacy of the Kargil heroes continues to inspire every generation. The performance moved many in the audience to tears, as the sacrifices of the brave martyrs were remembered with profound respect and gratitude.
As part of the celebrations, a special tree plantation campaign titled “Ek Ped Shaheed Ke Naam” was conducted with great enthusiasm. Every sapling planted symbolized the eternal legacy of a brave soldier, serving as a living tribute to those who made the supreme sacrifice for the nation. The initiative reflected the message that while our heroes may have left this world, their courage, values, and memories will continue to grow with every passing generation.
Adding another landmark achievement to the celebrations, the Rouble Nagi Art Foundation, in collaboration with the Indian Army, inaugurated a Computer Lab at two Government Schools of Keran. This significant initiative aims to empower the youth of the border region through digital education, modern learning opportunities, and skill development. The newly established computer lab marks an important step towards bridging the digital divide and creating brighter educational opportunities for the students of Keran. The initiative reflects the shared commitment of the Indian Army and the Rouble Nagi Art Foundation towards nurturing education, innovation, and the future of children living in remote border areas.
The event was graced by senior officers of the Indian Army, civil administration officials, community leaders, teachers, students and hundreds of local residents, making the occasion truly memorable.
