Srinagar, August 27: Senior IPS officer Sujit Kumar officially assumed charge as the Inspector General of Police (IGP) for the Kashmir Zone today, succeeding Vidhi Kumar Birdi IPS.
Prior to this assignment, he was serving as the IGP Security, J&K. Bringing extensive administrative and operational experience to the helm, he has previously served across all three ranges of the Kashmir Zone, including a tenure leading the Central Kashmir Range.
