Budgam, September 12: The two-day Kashmir Cup 2026 Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Championship concluded at Little Angels Kids Play School, Nasrullahpora, Budgam, with the participation of more than 350 young fighters from three schools and six martial arts clubs.
The championship was organised by the Lenial Mixed Martial Arts Federation of J&K, affiliated with the Lenial Mixed Martial Arts Federation of India, in collaboration with Little Angels Kids Play School, under the banner of “My Youth My Pride.”
Young athletes from several schools and martial arts clubs participated in the championship and showcased their skills, discipline and competitive spirit across various categories.
Little Angels School emerged as the overall champion after securing first position. Sacred Heart School finished second, while Warriors Martial Arts Academy, Anantnag secured third position. Dynamite Sports Academy finished fourth.
In the individual awards, Umaan Malik was named Best Fighter (Boys), while Tayiant Akbar received the Best Fight Award (Girls) for her performance during the championship.
At the concluding ceremony, players who secured gold, silver and bronze medals were felicitated. The organisers also honoured all participating players in recognition of their efforts and sportsmanship.
The organisers said the championship aimed to encourage youngsters to take up sports and martial arts while promoting discipline, strength, confidence, respect and sportsmanship among young athletes.
The successful conclusion of the event marked another effort towards promoting Mixed Martial Arts among youth in Kashmir, with the participation of hundreds of young athletes from across the region.
