Kulgam, Sept 28: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday conducted verification and inspection of records maintained by SIM card vendors in Yaripora and Behibagh areas of Kulgam district.
During the drive, police teams checked the registers and documents maintained by vendors and reviewed the verification procedures being followed while issuing SIM cards to subscribers.
Officials said the exercise is part of routine security and regulatory checks to ensure that SIM vendors strictly adhere to the prescribed norms and maintain proper customer records.
Police also directed the vendors to maintain accurate records and follow all mandatory verification guidelines while issuing new SIM connections.
