Srinagar, Sep 30: Srinagar is hosting the 9th National Deaf Men’s T20 Cricket Championship 2026, with athletes from across the country taking part.
The championship is being held from September 28 to October 4 at Bakshi Stadium and TRC Ground, Srinagar.
It began with an opening ceremony at Bakshi Stadium, where the Secretary, J&K Sports Council, congratulated the participating athletes and emphasised the importance of inclusive sporting opportunities, stressing that sports belongs to all.
The successful conduct of the championship reflects the continued efforts of the J&K Sports Council towards promoting competitive and inclusive sports, supporting national-level events and utilising sports infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir to provide athletes with quality platforms.
The participation of athletes from across India also highlights Srinagar’s growing role as a host for national sporting competitions and reinforces the ability of sports to bring together athletes from different regions of the country.
