Poonch, Oct 08: A vehicle carrying dry grass caught fire at Charala, Fazalabad area of Surankote in Poonch district on Thursday afternoon, resulting in partial damage to it.
Eyewitnesses told GNS that flames erupted from the grass loaded on the vehicle, with thick smoke billowing from the spot, triggering panic among locals.
Soon after the incident, locals rushed to the spot and managed to douse the flames, preventing major damage to the vehicle.
Meanwhile, no loss of life or injury was reported in the incident. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Police have taken cognizance of the matter.(GNS)
