Kupwara, Oct 17: Security forces foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control in the Jumgund area of Keran sector in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Saturday morning.
Sources told GNS that alert troops noticed suspicious movement along the LoC early in the morning and challenged the infiltrators, triggering a brief exchange of fire.
A massive search operation is underway in the area, they said.
Official confirmation from the Army is awaited.
