Kulgam, Oct 30: As part of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations, commemorating the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Kulgam Police, in collaboration with Government Degree College (GDC) Frisal, organised an awareness programme on “Public Awareness on Nationalism and Unity.”
On the occasion, the contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, popularly known as the Iron Man of India, was highlighted, particularly his historic role in the integration of princely states into the Indian Union, strengthening national unity and integrity.
The programme featured debate, speech and painting competitions to promote patriotism, national integration and communal harmony among students. Police officers highlighted the role of youth in nation-building and stressed the importance of discipline, brotherhood, mutual respect, peace and a drug-free society.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members, concluding with a pledge to uphold the ideals of unity, peace and national integrity.
