Srinagar, Nov 04: In an era where many educated youth hesitate to take up small jobs, a Nepali woman selling momos at Rajbagh Bund in Srinagar has emerged as a living example of dignity, hard work and self-reliance.
Running her small evening stall with a smile, she has not only become popular as ‘Momos Aunty’ among locals for the taste of her momos, but has also become an inspiration for unemployed youth.
Speaking about her journey, she as per GNS said a wife’s support is equally important for her husband and there is no shame in doing any work to earn an honest livelihood.
She disclosed that she earns around Rs 1,000 profit every evening, which adds up to nearly Rs 30,000 a month. The earnings are being used to support her family and fund the education of her three children.
When asked if she was satisfied with her work, she said with pride that she was extremely happy and content.
Her story carries a powerful message for the youth — dignity lies not in the size of the job, but in honest work. With determination, family support and consistent effort, even a small roadside stall can become a source of financial independence and a better future.(GNS)
