Awantipora, November 06: In continuation of its sustained campaign against drug abuse, Awantipora Police organised a debate competition under the banner of “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan” at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Khrew, with the objective of educating students about the harmful consequences of substance abuse and encouraging them to contribute towards a drug free society.
Students participated enthusiastically in the competition and expressed their views on various aspects of drug abuse, including its adverse impact on physical and mental well being, family life and society at large. The initiative provided a meaningful platform for students to showcase their knowledge, communication skills and understanding of their social responsibilities.
To appreciate their efforts, the students securing the first three positions were felicitated with cash prizes and certificates. Refreshments were also distributed among the participants.
