The season of harvesting the kashmir walnuts begins through out in valley.The growers have started plucking the walnuts from trees and the process have been started before a week by beating the walnuts by long bamboo sticks.
The walnuts in kashmiri language are also known as “Douen” walnuts have their own superior taste and quality and are being demanded by every visitor or a tourist.
According to growers in 2020 walnut Crop has been increased comparing to last years.Walnut production is also considered as backbone of Kashmirs economy, a grower added.
